About The Event
JUNIOR CHEFS - Grades 3-5 After School Cooking Class Series
Your child will learn to make delicious recipes, from main courses to healthy desserts and snacks. This class highlights new skills and techniques each week including knife skills, learning how to properly use kitchen tools, how to read/create recipes, make substitutions, kitchen cleanup and more.

Cooking skills include:
Trimming and slicing vegetables
Putting foods in oven and removing them
Working with timers and thermometers
Baking quick breads and muffins
Kneading dough and letting it rise
Making fresh pasta dough and using a hand-cranked pasta machine
Cooking soup
Steaming rice
Roasting vegetables
Using small kitchen appliances
